Reviews Summary

Visitors appreciate the People's Center and Library for its extensive book collection and potential for comfortable reading in its wood-floored rooms. However, concerns are frequently raised about the building's dilapidated state, with mentions of potential debris and brittle books, leading some to question its current accessibility and condition.

"I like the People's Center and Library over the Pambansang Aklatan because I think this library has a lot more books and access is easy. I love the rooms and the wood flooring wherein you can just lay while enjoying your book.

Most of the books here might have been damaged and no longer readable. Maybe this is no longer open to the public. It is still important that the people will have access to libraries. I just wish the government or some organization will help restore this library.

The People's Center has also been the venues of a lot of graduations and JS proms, bazaars, and other events back in the days.

As of January 10, 2018

The entrance to the library is on the right side of the building. Just be careful of the debris that might fall as the building, especially the ceiling are dilapidated.

There is fee of P30 for the library card that is valid for 4 months. Some pages of the books are already brittle. Just be gentle in turning the pages.

The ground floor is currently occupied by a Japan Surplus shop. There was one girl at the multicab who said that that's where they had their graduation, at the "Japan Surplus"."

"I don't wanna start this by saying, kindly drop me off at Japan Surplus. Why I'm saying this because it really feels bad to named one place with another.

Anyway, you just take a jeep or multicab going to downtown. Normally, the fare is Php8-. So depending on where you came from.

This is a public library and it is really as a library. This is the library where I have seen so many book collection in one place. It's like 6-10 meters tall and inside a rectangular place.

You need to get a library card too that will cost you Php30-. Then from there you stroll around. When I was there, a lot of students where making their school work."
