The Ardent Hot Springs on Camiguin Island in the Philippines were amazing! It was so cool swimming and relaxing in the hot Springs. In other countries, to experience an attraction like this would cost at least $20 #hotsprings #philippines #newzealand #swimming #cost #PhilippinesTravel #philippinesgram #philippinetourism #ardenthotsprings #Camiguin #camiguinisland

Reviews Summary

Ardent Hot Springs offers a natural escape with its jungle setting and spring-fed pools, though many visitors note the water is lukewarm rather than hot. While some find it a perfectly relaxing spot, others are disappointed by the temperature and potential noise from nearby cottages. The affordable entrance fee and scenic surroundings are consistent positives. InstagramReddit+1

"This is our third time visiting this place, and we absolutely love it. The water is crystal clear, and the temperature is perfect—ideal for swimming and relaxing. We always end up spending hours here because it’s just so enjoyable. The surroundings are stunning, and the peaceful atmosphere makes it even more special. Truly a beautiful spot—we can't wait to come back again!"

"I spent a pleasant hour here.
Water temperature for me was ok.
Of course if it is stated to be 33°C you cannot feel it hot, so I don't understand what people expect when they give bad feedbacks.
By the way, the lower pool is warmer than the upper ones.
It is surrounded by nature and gives you lot of peace.
There are also some little houses available to rent and a BBQ to grill your food.
I was lucky enough to go on a cloudy day, so the place was not crowded at all.
Entrance fee is 50PHP"

Elena Pittau

"Not a hotspring. I was so disappointed when we came here. I thought I could relax myself dipping in a hotspring while listening the peacefullness of the mountain. It turns out the water temperature is not hot, not even lukewarm. The place is very noisy, each cottage seems to have karaoke set."

In-depth insights and expert knowledge

The Truth About the 'Hot' Springs

Despite its name, Ardent Hot Springs is a point of contention for many visitors regarding its water temperature. While some reviews mention it being 'perfect' and 'ideal for swimming and relaxing,' a significant number of recent visitors express disappointment, stating the water is 'not hot, not even lukewarm,' and 'just plain flowing spring water.' Reddit+1 The temperature is often cited as being around 30-33°C, which is more akin to a warm bath than a hot spring. Some believe the upper pools might retain more heat, but this is not consistently reported. It's crucial to manage your expectations and appreciate the natural setting rather than solely seeking a hot soak. Reddit+1

This discrepancy has led to suggestions to remove the word 'hot' from its name and signage. Reddit The springs are fed by natural spring water, and the temperature can be influenced by various factors. While the 'hot' aspect might be debatable, the surrounding environment offers a unique appeal. Instagram+1
