We celebrated our wedding at Plantation Bay Resort and Spa in Mactan last October 16, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we began planning, the resort’s Sales Account Executive, Maddie Muñasque, was nothing short of exceptional. She guided us from our first inquiry in August 2024 all the way through the big day. Working full-time while planning a destination wedding wasn’t easy, but Maddie’s patience, responsiveness, and genuine care made everything feel effortless. She never made us feel like just another client, she treated us with personal attention and professionalism every step of the way.
Upon our arrival in Cebu, we faced a few last-minute schedule changes, but Maddie handled everything with grace and flexibility. She was calm, solution-oriented, and always made us feel supported. Her thoughtfulness truly set Plantation Bay apart from other luxury resorts we reached out to in Mactan.
We’d also like to give a special mention to Archie from bell service, who made us feel warmly welcomed from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. His friendly personality, attentiveness, and genuine kindness were evident in everything he did, whether helping us with our luggage or simply offering a thoughtful smile. He added an extra layer of warmth to our stay that we are truly grateful for.
The wedding day itself was an absolute dream. From the smooth coordination to the breathtaking room setup with rose petals, candles, and personalized touches, we were blown away. Our families loved their rooms as well. The dinner at our reception was another highlight. We’re not exaggerating when we say our guests are still talking about how delicious the food was, during the event, after the party, and even days later!
Having worked in luxury hospitality ourselves, we know what great service looks like, and Maddie exceeded every expectation. Even our friends and colleagues (many of whom work in high-end hotels around the world) spoke so highly of her warmth and professionalism.
