2024: I’ve been coming to the Yacht Club for 8 years, whenever I visit Cebu. It’s always been a favourite due to the fantastic location, great staff and food. However, I have to say, over the last 4 months I have visited the Yacht Club 3 times and it is losing its edge. Obviously the location is still great. But the staff training seems to be lacking. The waiters/waitresses will happily let you spend 20 minutes choosing from the menu and taking your order before coming back to tell you it’s not available. Even after asking the last 2 visits, “What is not available” they still got it wrong. Today, there was a customer’s dog barking incessantly throughout my meal. Nobody approached the owner of the dog (who did absolutely nothing). I don’t even agree with having dogs in restaurants, let alone constantly disturbing other customers. And then there’s the food. The ribs have always been a firm favourite of mine. And yet over the last 3 visits, they haven’t been available. My last 3 meals have been average at best. If I had to guess, I would say that the manager is not present or/and not doing their job properly. A great shame as I used to love going there. It’s not too late to get back on track Yacht Club!"
