What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors find Molo Plaza to be a charming and peaceful spot, particularly loved for its vibrant evening atmosphere, especially during the Christmas season with its dazzling lights. The adjacent St. Anne Parish Church is praised for its unique architecture and dedication to women. While some note the plaza's renovation led to less greenery, the historical significance and the lively street food scene remain major draws.
"Me and my boyfriend visited Molo Plaza and Molo Church in August, and it was such a charming and peaceful experience. We loved strolling around the historic plaza and then visiting the beautiful church with its intricate architecture. It was a memorable and romantic moment, perfect for those who enjoy history, culture, and quiet quality time together."

"Years ago before the major renovation of the Molo Plaza, it was already okay; much better than the Jaro Plaza then. There were more trees and shrubs then to provide shade and more grass on the lawns instead of concrete pavements which seemed to have expanded by that renovation. But the ancient trees by the sidewalk of the major roadside remain.
The Plaza, as with the Molo Church, celebrates women and femininity. The church has pillars of all-female saints while at the Plaza, women are still on the pedestal: Greek mythological goddesses at the pavilion and Rizal's Maria Clara character from his novel, "Noli Me Tangere". Aside from the plaza's features, food stalls are located at the sidewalk. Please be mindful of your trash to maintain cleanliness.
Molo Plaza is located in one of the city's major thoroughfares. Road traffics especially during afternoon are frequent as this side of Molo is an entrance-exit point to the other city districts. The famed Iloilo River Esplanade is just a walking distance away and another attraction, the Molo Mansion acquired by SM Group is just right across the street."

"I visited in December and was mesmerized by its Christmas decorations. A statue of Greek goddesses and a monument of Maria Clara were highlights.
St. Anne Parish, a Spanish colonial church and heritage site, is also located here. It is known for its unique ensemble of sixteen saint statues, all depicting women.
This plaza offers a vibrant nighttime experience, featuring diverse local street food options and a lively atmosphere enhanced by Christmas music and festive cheer.
A must see if you are in Iloilo."
