What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Madge Cafe is celebrated for its authentic, traditional coffee brewed with pre-war techniques and its incredibly hospitable owner. While the market location can be hot and cramped, the unique experience and delicious, affordable coffee make it a must-visit for locals and tourists alike.
"Madge Café is inside La Paz Market and is in front of Netong's.
They open early and you will see lots of café usuals and tourists visit them. It's quite cramped inside and can get humid, but the experience and the taste of the coffee makes up for it!!
We bought their Iced Swiss Mocha and Iced Caramel Macchiato. We also bought their local, hand-made fried donuts with cheese inside.
The owner is so hospitable!"

"We stopped for a couple of drinks—a chocolate one and a latte—and while they were good, they weren't anything special. I have a feeling we missed out on their signature coffee, so that's a must-try next time. What really stood out was the staff; the owner was so warm and friendly, and we enjoyed chatting with him. Don't let the hot, temporary market location deter you—the hospitality alone makes it worth a visit"

"I’m giving a high rating for their great coffee. The place is also clean. They have also other breakfast optionss on their menu.
I’m not sure if this is the only Madge Café in the area, as I noticed different photos in some reviews. The one I visited is the branch inside the public market — the one without air-conditioning. That’s totally fine with me, just something to keep in mind."
