Visitors are deeply moved by the Immaculate Conception Church's story of resilience and its unique beauty, especially the shell and coral mosaics. While some find the rectory museum small, its historical artifacts add value. The church is a powerful symbol of faith and community spirit, beautifully restored after Typhoon Yolanda.
"Be owed by this national treasure in Guian, Samar. Devastated during typhoon yolanda, but the the assistance of the funding of the national historic commission, and well intentioned parishioners helped hand in hand to restore it. The outcome is this magnificent church that used shells to adorn sacred object. It is a must to be visited for it is one of a kind.
After the church pilgrimage pass by the parish rectory, they also house a museum of sacred objects."

"This church has been standing for years. But unfortunately due to the super typhoon Yolanda that hit last November 2013 , the church has not made it, but still the faith continues. After years ha e passed the church tand again on its own design, replacing back the antic church of Guiuan. This proves that structures may fall, but the faith does not. This church is the center for Catholic celebration in the people of Guiuan. The place was very nice and moment taking. A place where you can kneel your problems and always remember that there is above in us. It has also small park at the entrance."

"Beautifully reconstructed after being destroyed by Super Typhoon Haiyan in 2013, this 19th century town church stands out for its shell and coral mosaics decorating the transept altars, and ornately carved wooden doors!"
