What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Coron is lauded for its breathtaking natural beauty, particularly its turquoise waters and dramatic limestone formations, making island hopping an unforgettable experience. However, some visitors find Coron Town Proper itself to be crowded, with visible poverty and limited attractions beyond boat tours. Despite this, the friendly locals and the sheer wonder of the surrounding islands often outweigh these drawbacks.
"it is quite a busy town this season, lot’s of tourist on the streets, resto bars and on all island destinations"
Euhjan Camposano
"Crowded and smelly streets."
Valentyna O
"Coron is a place I wouldn't recommend to my friends... there's nothing to do on the island, no beaches, no major attractions, no nice walks. The famous island hopping departs from there, but it's not much different from what you can do in El Nido. It's also very difficult (and expensive) to get to and from this island, which makes it a very unattractive destination. The city is small, dirty, and poverty is evident in every corner.
On the other hand, its people are friendly, and you can tell they place a lot of importance on sports for young people... hopefully this will help improve their quality of life and conditions."
