What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about Barracuda Lake's unique thermoclines and surreal underwater landscapes, calling it an unforgettable diving experience. While access can be a bit crowded and the boardwalk narrow, the clear waters and the sensation of temperature shifts make it a must-visit for freedivers and photographers. Some note a lack of abundant marine life, but the geological wonders more than compensate.
"Awesome!
Getting in was a bit funky, lots of boats were already taking up the boardwalk space so we had to park a bit further and swim to shore. Also the path in and out is narrow, had to wait for everyone in front to move before we could.
Boardwalk on the other side where the lake is is also cramped, especially when groups of tourists are there.
This spot is known for free diving, however you can also snorkel here (though not as much to see besides the cliff faces under water)."

"Good spot for diving but please be careful, know your limits!
Just wear your life vests if you’re in the water 😊"
