"We visited the Mt. Pinatubo on a weekday, there were few tourists so we had more time to appreciate the beauty of the crater and enjoy the treck, the 1 hour drive was bumpy but fun, the hike was tolerable for a first time hiker like me. The 15 Kilometer back and forth hike was rewarding considering the majestic view of the Mt. Pinatubo.
PS: you should arrange your tour in advance with the local tour agencies for a smooth tour.
Wear proper footwear, you will be crossing rivers, sandy soil and pile of rocks.
You may bring something, like snacks for the kids playing along the way as presents.
Tip your treck guide. 😉"

"My Mount Pinatubo hike was truly a beautiful disaster. It rained that day, which made the trail quite slippery because of the stones, but it added to the thrill of the experience. The hike was a mix of challenge and awe, walking through rocky paths and rivers, all leading to the breathtaking view of the crater lake. The beauty of the place is undeniable, and standing there felt surreal knowing the history behind it.
What made the trip even more meaningful was being able to give out packed food to the Aeta community in the area. It was a simple act, but it added so much heart to the whole experience.
Overall, it was physically tiring but deeply rewarding, an adventure I’ll always remember with gratitude and awe."

"Mount Pinatubo Day Trip – Totally Worth It!
We left Manila super early for a 5-hour drive to Mount Pinatubo. It was long, but the roads were decent, and we had snacks and music, so time flew by. Once we got to the jump-off point in Capas, the fun really started.
The 4x4 jeep ride was wild — super bumpy, super dusty, and super fun. It felt like riding through a desert with crazy views all around. We crossed rivers, drove over lahar fields, and even had to hold on tight a few times because of the rough terrain. Definitely not your average road trip!
After the jeep ride, we started the hike to the crater. It was actually pretty easy — took us about 45 minutes, mostly flat with just a few small uphill parts. The scenery along the way was cool, with canyons and streams, and the weather was kind to us (thankfully not too hot).
Reaching the crater lake was the best part. The view was stunning — calm, blue water surrounded by mountains. We just sat there for a while, took a bunch of photos, and soaked it all in. You can’t swim, but honestly, just being there was enough.
If you’re up for a mix of adventure and chill vibes, this trip is awesome. Just wear comfy clothes, bring water, and prepare to get dusty on the jeep. Totally recommend it!"
