"Saint James the Great Parish Church, commonly known as Bolinao Church, is a Spanish colonial Roman Catholic church located at Brgy. Germinal in Bolinao, Pangasinan, Philippines. It is under the jurisdiction of the Diocese of Alaminos. The church was made out of black coral stones. The church underwent series of natural and man-made calamities, such as the 1788 earthquake, 1819 fire incident, and Typhoon Emong in 2009."

"I visited this church when I spent my holidays alone in Bolinao, Pangasinan.
This church is very classical like any colonial churches but the most beautiful part of this church is actually its arch that faces the main road. You can have a good view of this arch from across the street.
Another key facet of this church is its ceiling painting. It is like a modern way of doing Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel with bright poster colors used to paint. The main issue is that this was done on either panels or spandrels which is why it has these long parallel lines across all the painting.
The vibe of the church is very solemn but the issue is that there are children playing inside the church and kind of noisy but not really that much."
