"The venue for the Church rites of the son of a friend. This church has preserved its "renaissance" type of architecture. Structurally, it looks really antique. But, with the unpredictability of mother nature, if retrofitted, will stand earthquakes. Its location is nice. Sitting on a hill. For summer time use for a tropical country the Philippines & Basey being a coastal town, AC are very much welcome."

"We were a family from Caibiran finding a safe place for us from roving bandits on the island of Biliran. Actually, political enemies. It was on the evening of October 19th, 1944 when we learned of MacArthur's return and the Americans landed on October 20, 1944. We watched from this church belfry American dive-bombers pounding the beaches near Tacloban the morning of the landing. Visited this place 10 years ago, but the belfry is in disrepair so nobody is allowed to climb up. We wanted to go up the elementary school up the hill but didn't have time. Our menfolk with us, 4 of them were held captive by the Japanese but released the following day, so our family had to move yet again."
