What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Zorritos Hot Springs is praised for its unique, skin-rejuvenating mud baths and tranquil desert setting, offering a deeply relaxing experience. However, its remote location necessitates pre-arranged transportation, and the facilities are quite basic, with lukewarm, salty water and limited washing amenities.
"The absolute best place IN THE WORLD for a skin retreat, relaxation, and total bliss. The mud is silky smooth. Each pool has a purpose. There's a place to wash up and clean.
It's far away into the mountain. You will need a cab to take you and stay with you the whole time. I paid $220 Soles ($58US) for my taxi to stay 2 hours with me. He took the pictures and helped me get cleaned off. I had the entire place to myself for the first hour. I arrived early. I suggest you do the same because this place IS IN THE MIDDLE of nowhere and there are no lights or houses nearby. It's best to go in the morning. Stay a couple of hours.
I didn't get a chance to see any foxes (Zorritos). My taxi guy was trying to call them out but they didn't come😞. This is my 2nd time here. I will return again, ALWAYS!"

"Nice way to spend the morning or afternoon. Relaxing and great for your skin. Take a change of clothes for after and make sure the clothes you wear into the baths are ones you don't care too much about, as the mud will likely stain them. Keep your eyes open for the little foxes (zorritos). They are all over and come and go as they please. Definitely worth the 5 soles they ask for using the facilities. The water in the baths is on the salty side, so take some water to drink as it will dehydrate you after some time. Make sure you ask your moto or taxi driver to wait for you, as there are no taxis or motos in the area. It is in a remote area outside of Zorritos, in the desert. You don't want to have to walk back. Worth a visit if you're staying in the area for a few days."

"The water is not so hot, so I wouldn't call it a hot spring.
No clean water to wash yourself at the end.
Otherwise it's nice"

The Therapeutic Mud and Waters
It's important to note that the water's saltiness can be dehydrating, so bringing ample drinking water is essential for a comfortable visit. While the facilities are basic, the natural therapeutic qualities of the mud and water are the main draw for those seeking a unique wellness experience in a remote setting.
Navigating the Remote Location
This remoteness also means that visitors should come prepared. Bringing your own water and any personal items you might need is advisable.
