"This might’ve been one of the most grueling hikes I’ve ever made yet so worth the effort. We started out around 9 o’clock that morning and ended at night walking down in the dark at no time did I not feel safe the weather was beautiful. The air was thin and the scenery was amazing. I finally made it to the top at the Sungate for some breathtaking views. It took me about two hours to make it down to town. I would highly recommend this to anyone. We have discussed that next time we do go we will stop at the quarry and turn around and come back. The views are just as amazing at that level as they are at the Sungate."

"There are very few people visiting this spot (we were alone on top) and there is a reason for that. It's a tough hike. It will take 4-5 hours to go up and the elevation is steep. Most of the hike is in direct sun and there is pretty much no water sources along the way. The only toilet is in the wild. It has great views and lots of interesting things to see along the way. But make sure you come prepared - lots of water and snacks. There is not much known about this site as it has been looted over time."

"Beautiful and powerful place with incredible views. Inti Punku, the Sun Gate, was used by the Incas to honor the sunrise. The energy up there is amazing — calm, spiritual, and inspiring. Great spot to sit in silence, take it all in, and feel connected to the land. Totally worth the hike."
