The second-floor restaurants are a major draw, offering delicious and incredibly affordable Peruvian meals. Some visitors note that the first floor could use aesthetic improvements, but the overall value and taste of the food are highly recommended.
"Great market with variety of fruits and prices. Cerca 5 soles for Mangoes and Cherimouya and Papaya. Although, first floor could use some decor/renovations to improve ambiance"

"It's small, not very clean, but you can find a good variety of fruit, veggies and much more.
Prices are better than supermarket"

"Our all time favorite, Mercado Municipal!
From here we bought vegetables, and other beverages and consumable products that we needed (caned juices, bread, peanut butter, pasta etc.) in very good quality and prices. I totally recommend that you buy especially your fruits and vegetables from here, as you can find a variety of different types of vegetables, multiple fruits and many many types of Peruvian potatoes!
Therefore, on the second floor of Mercado Municipal, you can find 4 different restaurants that you could have a big, proper meal very very cheap! With 10 Peruvian soles (approximately 2,5 euros), I had a starter of ceviche, a plate called Arroz de la Cubana, which is a vegeterian dish, with rice, platanos, eggs, lentils, plus a fresh juice which was different every time. The food was extremely tasty and totally worth it!"
