Visitors find the Chichictara Petroglyphs impressive and well-preserved, offering a unique glimpse into ancient art. The free admission and the treasure-hunt-like experience of finding numbered carvings are highlights. However, the lack of clear signage, steep terrain, and limited promotion mean visitors should be well-prepared for an adventurous exploration.
"Very impressive well preserved petroglyphs. Some of the walking areas are steep and treacherous so prepare yourself. No one else was around when I went and the tour companies do not promote it. It is not well known but it is one of the best places to visit. Many unique and strange petroglyphs. Could some of these resemble strange beings or aliens even? It is for you to decide..."

"The place is wonderful. A trail leads you among the rocks with the petroglyphs, although it's not fully marked. It's a good experience, as the petroglyphs are marked with numbers from 1 to 54, which was the last one we found. You have to search for them among the many rocks on the hillside. We found almost all of them, and it took us two hours. They come in various shapes, sizes, and details. Parking is limited and small, and admission is free."
