Affordable Entry Fee

The trail is very affordable, costing around $5 per person to enter. Instagram :ticket:

The Pipeline Trail in Boquete, Panama is your best chances to see the elusive quetzal! The collectivo to the start of the trail will cost around $2 and the entry is only $5. Being less than 3 miles round trip, I would only recommend this short hike for those interested in the wildlife of the cloud forest. The waterfalls here are quite small, and there are much larger waterfalls in Boquete. The tra...

Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise the Pipeline Trail for its stunning natural beauty and accessibility. The chance to see wildlife, including the elusive Quetzal, and the impressive ancient tree are major highlights. While the trail can get muddy, most find it manageable with proper footwear. Some note that the waterfall's swimming area has changed, but the overall experience remains highly rewarding. InstagramReddit+1

"Fantastic trail. Relatively easy. Easy gradual increase in altitude. The end when you need to cross back and forth over the street takes a little more balance. I recommend hiking boots and hiking poles to help with balance. Of all kind of ground absorbs moisture and rain pretty quickly, so even after a rain it's unreasonably good shape the next day. During rainy season go in the morning."

Matt

"The trail is easy to follow (well marked and cut). It would be virtually impossible to become lost while following the trail. It's absolutely beautiful countryside. There were several howler monkeys on the mountainside about one third of the way down the trail. It was a tad muddy, but considering the amount of rain the previous day, it was better than I expected. The waterfall at the end was beautiful."

David Roman

"A great day out a beautiful trek to get to a great waterfall it’s a bit of a walk but definitely worth it so much wide life and birds. You can get a local bus front the entrance"
