"A small bit beautiful national park overlooking a mountain range and the Pacific Ocean. It's a short ride to the top but the views are majestic. A must visit if you're into beautiful scenery!"

"We stayed at Casa Amaya to fully experience this incredible parque. At night, the wind whistles through the trees, and the river gurgles right by your cabin. We felt very safe and left the sliding glass door open so that we could hear all the nature sounds. It was just incredible. I’ve never been cold in Central America before so I don’t even bring long sleeves or pants, but it was quite a bit cooler at twilight here with the wind, and I had to wear my sun shirt (the only long sleeve I brought) just to be warm. My boyfriend wore his sweats and long sleeves a couple of times. When the sun is beaming down in the middle of the day, it’s warm but not hot. If you’re a hiker, you definitely want to come to Parque Nacional Altos de Campana. I have neuropathy and balance issues so I can’t hike anymore, but we were able to find several points to just stand and look in absolute awe of the beauty. There are points that you can drive to that are 3300 feet above sea level. There are little cafes nestled along the roadway to have coffee or lunch. Pictures don’t do it justice!"

"Beautiful hike, we caught a bit of rain and it was refreshing! I would recommend proper shoes to hike in. We had our baby so we didn't do the Cruz trail, the other two we went on were easy hikes. Very relaxing!"
