What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Aabpara Market is celebrated as Islamabad's oldest and most diverse bazaar, offering a wide array of goods at affordable prices. While many appreciate its historical charm and the availability of everything from groceries to electronics, some visitors note issues with overcrowding, noise, and cleanliness. Despite these drawbacks, its vibrant atmosphere and value for money make it a popular local destination.
"Good general item markets where you find grocery items as well as daily use things at affordable prices. The market is in a good area and prices are affordable here as compared to other surrounding areas."
Zain Mughal
"The area is overcrowded, noisy, and not clean at all. There’s a constant unpleasant smell from food stalls and garbage around the market. Parking is almost impossible and traffic is always jammed. Street vendors block the walkways, and many shops are unorganized. The whole environment feels chaotic and uncomfortable. The authorities really need to improve cleanliness, hygiene, and traffic management."
Basharat Hussain
"The olxest and historical market of Islamabad which blossoms still to this day. You can visit this market for pretty much everything e.g. groceries, hardware, sanitory, tailors, shoes, clothing, crockery, fruits and veg, authentic old restaurants, pansaar items, meat and poultry, books and stationery and much more. That's the reason that there is plenty of parking space but it's always almost full and you may have to wait for a bit to get a space. But the vibe is the same old and prices are always very competitive."
