"Wadi Ash Shuwaymiyya is a remote hidden gem in southern Oman. The road to there is destroyed by water, so you would need 4x4 to reach the waterfall (12 km), although for the rest of wadi, you could still continue further (22 km). The place is very beautiful and looks like on another planet. Very well worth the time."

"The wadi is not really frequented and naturewise quite interesting and peaceful. We went there with our rooftop tent for camping and found a wonderful place. So if you pass this area anyway on your way up or down the coast definitely consider sleeping a night here. Choose the entrance from the village at the beginning and follow the well conditioned track. After some driving you will see at the right a small terrace with a beautiful waterfall and pool at the end. That’s for sure the best spot for camping within the wadi. We were also driving further but chose to come back to this place at the end. Make a bonfire and enjoy the scenery and nature!"

"Wadi Ash Shuwaimiyyah is absolutely stunning – dramatic rock formations, serene pools, and a peaceful silence that’s hard to find these days. We were amazed by the natural beauty and, even more so, by how quiet and untouched it was. No crowds, no noise – just nature at its best. It truly feels like a hidden spot, and I sincerely hope it stays that way. If you do visit, please treat it with care and respect – this place deserves to be preserved."
