What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the breathtaking natural beauty of Tromsø's fjords and the magical experience of seeing the Northern Lights. Many highlight the unique wildlife encounters and the warmth of local guides. However, some have noted issues with the maintenance of rental equipment and the high cost of activities.
"In August, I rented a catamaran from Arctic Princess, a company that owns three catamarans.
Pros:
The marina in Tromsø is in a very convenient location. It’s a quiet harbor, easy to dock and depart from. Nearby you can find everything you need—shops to buy groceries, and even a sauna. We went on a seven-day trip, and the nature around was absolutely stunning: beautiful and impressive. I would love to return to discover new routes and go fishing.
Cons:
Unfortunately, the catamaran we got was very worn out. It looked “beaten up,” it was dirty inside and hadn’t been cleaned. Some of the equipment didn’t work, and there was no heating at all—we were cold throughout the trip. Honestly, this was one of the worst catamarans I have ever used.
It’s worth noting that the company also has two other catamarans that look much nicer and well-maintained. So if you decide to rent from Arctic Princess, I recommend choosing one of the other boats."

Thankyou Kurt and crew .. we had a wonderful experience."

"Recommend! Look no further!
Did a Midnight Sun cruise with Arctic Cruises for my 50th birthday. In fact, this cruise was the inspiration for the 4 days we spent in Tromsø. I brought along 4 very special people with me to celebrate - We all loved it!
Firstly, they did an amazing job of accommodating us as a small group celebrating while respecting other guests. The boat was beautiful and the cruise was stunning - but our captain, Luca, was the highlight by far. A lot of fun, great nature. He made some great recommendations for other things to do which turned out to be other brilliant experiences.
So grateful. Hope to return in winter to see the northern lights."

👨👩👧 Families with Kids
Consider visiting the Polar Museum for an engaging look at Arctic exploration.
