What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
SALT is a highly-rated cultural hub praised for its unique atmosphere, art, music, and waterfront location. Visitors love the public sauna experience and the vibrant vibe, though some find the food servings small and prices a bit high. The layout can be a bit confusing initially, and ordering from the bar is often recommended over table service for drinks.
"Wonderful experience! My friends and I went and tried out the public sauna. Great price. Markus tended to us and was wonderful! He was very helpful, kind and welcoming. There are three different saunas with different temperatures. They do a ritual on the half hour. We also tried the restaurant and loved it! We had the burger, fries, reindeer soup, fish soup, dumplings and all were delicious. Also great service as well."

"The layout is something to figure out if it’s your first time. We placed our orders from the table, though the beer I wanted they were out of. So they swapped me a cheaper beer and didn’t offer a refund of the difference. Probably best to just order from the bar next time. Overall, a nice place to enjoy some sun and shade, looking out at the opera house."

"Servings are small, children size, but fish chips taste good. Expensive, music noisy/ bad music in restaurant area. The place is just not as cool as the want to be. But if you are in Oslo and the weather is nice you can have a good at Salt"
