What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the unbelievable experience and out-of-this-world surroundings at Lofoten Links, calling it a must-do despite the challenging journey. While the golf is exceptional and the views are stunning, some guests found the accommodation basic and the clubhouse in need of improvement. The high green fees were also a point of contention for some.
"Unbelievable experience here last year, drove up from the UK which was an unreal time in itself, but on arriving here I was not disappointed, the service from the team was great and the surroundings are out of this world, with the accommodation perfect with some brilliant views!! The golf course is unlike any other I've played, and yes you won't necessarily get pristing conditions, but this is a links course......in the Arctic circle, just enjoy the journey and the experience of getting to play in the midnight sun........if you get a chance to go, do it!!!"

"LOVED THE GOLF SO MUCH! We were a little taken back when our room was located in a house and we just had a room in the house and shared common spaces with 2 other rooms. It was weird and awkward to be sharing a home with other people. We got 2 twin beds… also weird for a couple. There wasn’t any AC but they brought me a fan upon request. Thank Goodness because it was HOT. I really thought we were staying in a golf resort Lol. But made the best of it and loved the area and the golf was exceptional."

"Fantastic course on the eye, stunning views.
Holes 1, 2 and 3 offer a tough but spectacular start.
The first has got to be one of the best opening holes in the world, it’s better and harder than the first at Machrihanish.
This is a tough course and you’ll need a lot of balls unless you’re very accurate.
The greens were ok, better than I expected.
The clubhouse needs improving / rebuilding.
Pro shop is expensive but the staff were nice and helpful.
The tees also need some work, levelling out etc.
I agree that the quality of the scorecards needs improving.
It’s a mission to get there but it’s worth the effort."
