Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise Fløya for its absolutely majestic and stunning views, calling it a must-try for adventurous souls. While the hike is demanding with slippery rocks and scrambling, the rewarding panoramas of Svolvær and the surrounding landscape make it well worth the effort. The unique Djevelporten rock formation is a memorable highlight for many.

"An absolute must try for those adventurous souls. Wear a pair of good hiking shoes with windbreaker and carry water and some snacks with you.

If poles help bring them along. The way down is a killer. The view is majestic but it’s a demanding hike with some access more slippery and you need to grip the boulder to keep moving.

I love the views up here!! Along the way you also get to attempt the Djevelporten which is a rock wedge in between two peaks.

It looks scary but it’s fairly safe when it’s dry and not so windy. The optics makes your knees go jelly but it’s worth a try. Definitely not for the faint hearted but totally rewarding and keep your loose items away before the climb."

"Really enjoyed the hike. Mostly stairs until Djevelporten which is pretty easy (and especially safe to hike up). I went up to the peak of Floyd after that which does require some actual climbing at the end where you are exposed. I went down on the other side which was also a little sketchy. Have done a few of those, so was used to it, but would only recommend doing it if you feel confident in such situations (especially getting back down!) - if you do, you most likely will be there alone even if it is super busy at Djevelporten :)"

Victoria Treue

"This is the fourth and last hike that I did in Lofoten Islands and like all the others it was beautiful. I found it very challenging because there are some parts with smooth and steep rocks where you have to use also the hands to climb. I arrived up to Djevelporten and didn't make it to Fløya peak, but anyway the view from there was fantastic."
