Bærums Verk is widely praised for its serene natural beauty, particularly the river and waterfalls, and its charming village atmosphere with craft shops. Visitors love the unique blend of history and art, and the magical Christmas ambiance. Some note that surfaces can be slippery in winter.
"Loved this village. Went on a Saturday. It was farmer's market day. A different vibe altogether. With families, kids, different stalls, kids games, special food stalls of local residents. And the permanent shops and galleries. When in Oslo take a day trip here. Bus is an easy commute, about half hour only. The setting along a river is so serene and out of the world. One portion of the river has a fast rapid. Have your coffee sitting alongside the fast rapids. Thoroughly enjoyed our day.
Read about the place before visiting. It is more beautiful than it is described."
