"This is a great place to visit. Sheds are full with memorabilia from the early to mid 20 th century. It’s such an interesting place and run totally by volunteers
We were able to park our caravan here over the Christmas period at a very reasonable price . It’s. Great place and not far from the centre of town"
Chris Muir Butler
"Totally understated, a real gem of the 20th century of agricultural horse / oxen drawn or manually operated farm and forestry machinery through the 1900’s radio telephone and technology devices to printing presses and every day household items that those in their 50’s-80’s would remember seeing using or watching working. Run by elderly volunteers that it is sad to think once they are no longer physically able or around to operate the place, who will look after the museum. If you can get a guide to take you round as I did, they bring the place alive by telling the history behind the items and museum itself. A must see place if you want to understand rural 40’s 50’s and 60’s NZ life."

"We almost didn't go in because it look so un attractive from outside. We are quite suprised to find a very good collection of the past. Some of them still work. Too bad it was not look after well, probably because it doesn't generate enough money n the kind volunteers were doing it. I recon the Taranaki govt should support this place with their rate pay n make it a destinations for people to go. Really enjoy the whole experience otherwise."
