What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about Monte Cecilia Park's beautiful scenery, spacious grounds, and dog-friendly atmosphere, making it a beloved local spot. The historic estate with its cafe and art gallery adds a unique charm. However, parking can be a significant challenge during peak times, and adherence to dog leash rules is important for a harmonious visit.
"This park is fantastic on a sunny day. There is a nice loop to walk and a cafe too. I like to bring my dog here and many others do as well, probably not the best place for you if you don't want to encounter off lead dogs. Just a warning though, parking is VERY difficult. The lot is often full and it will be hard to get a spot during peak hours so plan accordingly."

Sheryl Leonard-Schlitter
"Dog friendly park! We need more places like this in the greater Auckland area. Off leash area in the center field. Great cafe too and very high on demand with locals, so get in early as well as parking."
