"This was our first stop on an excursion with Carnival Cruise Lines Luminosa Wine and Cheese Tasting Tour. Grounds well kept. STATIONS OF THE CROSS were wood carvings that were colourfully painted. see the photos. Visit was brief. View was breath taking. A must for seeing local artisan created work with a bonus panoramic view. A must to see in New Caledonia."

"This place is an undisputed gem and personally, I found it to be the most beautiful and interesting place in Noumea. I was surprised to discover that it wasn't on the local bus tours. It's a long and steep walk, so unless walking is your thing, I'd recommend getting transport. The views are amazing and the road up there is safe to walk by. There's also a bush trail back down that is very pretty. Included are stations of the cross. Entry is free but donations are requested. There don't appear to be toilets or other facilities but there is a small car park. It's not busy. The gardens are spectacular too. Highly recommended."

"Stunning grottos, especially the main one - that of Mother Mary (Our Lady/Notre Dame of the Pacific) with bright colours and an open air shrine with stunning views of the city and an eclectic garden. Worth the trek up to the top of the hill and must-do in Noumea."
