"The general practitioners in Zandvoort have made an agreement among themselves to assign patients themselves and not to take patients from each other.

In my complaints procedure through the ACM (Dutch Association of General Practitioners), I was vindicated in my right to free choice and ultimately ended up at the Nieuw Noord GP practice at Pasteurstraat 10 in Zandvoort.

I preferred it because the practice is located across from my home address.

Nienke van Bergen, the general practitioner, the practice owner,
was constantly insulting and arguing, almost rude, but certainly extremely unprofessional.

General practitioners are rapidly squandering the only expertise they have left!

You should be able to talk to a general practitioner in complete confidence about your life and about emotions you'd rather not share.

In the Netherlands, it is a right that patients can choose their own GP.

Nienke van Bergen's attitude, in her incompetence, irrevocably demonstrates this.

I'm convinced that insurers aren't unhappy with this development, and it won't be long before you can access your insurer's GP practice digitally.

I've since found a real GP myself, one who takes themselves seriously.

"We've had this GP for years, first generation and now second generation. Excellent communication, they're in line with what we can do with digital records, and they always provide helpful help when needed. They're easily accessible during phone hours. In emergencies, you're promptly referred. If anyone has problems with this doctor's office, it's usually the patient's fault. There are simply some very unreasonable and impatient people in our society. A compassionate practice; I can only conclude otherwise."

"Incredibly bad experiences with this GP. They avoid visiting, and you have to take photos of your own body to finally get a doctor to look at it. (I'm not comfortable with that at all.) The receptionist won't let you finish your conversation; she even talks over you. You're no longer allowed to come in to make an appointment, and they're almost impossible to reach by phone. I've been trying to contact them for a few days now, but they're immediately sent to voicemail. Absolutely unprofessional."
