What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise FutureLand for its well-designed, interactive exhibits and the impressive Maasvlakte boat tour, which offers close-up views of massive container ships. While the port's grandeur is a major draw, some note that the boat tour's live commentary is primarily in Dutch, though a multilingual audio guide is available via smartphone.
"Well designed tour, you have to check for yourself, lots of information! Decided to take the boat due to Netherlands obvious reasons 😅 to be inside the water, the audio tour on your own mobile is really nice, don't forget your earphones! Plenty of parking spots and a comfortable place to have a lunch."
Felipe “FRIO” Rio
"This place is fantastic, but definitely reccomend doing the cruise to Maasvlakte 1 and Maasvlakte 2. The guide is in Dutch, but you can connect your phone to a GPS tour in different languages - so a pair of headphones is really useful. You learn loads about the newest part of Rotterdam port and can see loads of interesting stuff from the boat. The museum is also very good as well, with some excellent interactive displays for children and a small cafe. Make sure the wind doesn't blow your hat away."
Gareth Williams
"The visit was really good !
There is, however, a weak point. The visit on the boat is only in Dutch (not even English...)
But if you are interested in the port grandeur of the Port of Rotterdam, this is the place to see.
The ferry sails only a few meters from the largest containerships, it's impressive!
You can see the evolution of the port of rotterdam and future projects
Thank you for the nice moment!"
