What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Reviews for DUO services, particularly concerning the Kempkensberg location, are overwhelmingly negative, citing extremely long processing times for applications and exams, often exceeding stated durations. Users express frustration with unhelpful staff, website issues, and strict policies like disqualification for minor lateness to exams. While DUO's function is essential, the user experience is frequently described as slow, inefficient, and disheartening.
"Waiting time has always been at least 8 weeks, because why would you ever speed it up, but then they extend it to 10 weeks, 12 weeks, and it just keeps going like this. If they missed a document from you, you need to wait 3 months again. It seems it is done on purpose to deter people from getting the student finance..."

"I was thinking for zero rating (but that's not possible unfortunately).
I'm totally disappointed on the exam center. I had KNM exam today 26-06-2023, but the people from the center didn't allowed me due to I was only 1 minute late. The actual exam supposed to start at 10:10 but the door is supposed to close at 10:00. I reached there at 10:01 and they didn't allowed me. I was going for the first time in that exam center Utrecht and I was (unexpectedly) trapped in the traffic suddenly in the middle of the road due to an accident that was the reason for my late. I explained everything to them but still they didn't allow me. I lost my 50 euro not only because for only 1 min delayed, also because of the traffic for accident in the road. This is something I don't expect from DUO. I'm literally disappointed with DUO now.
I called DUO office, but received bad response, they are heartless people and helpless. They don't know the manners. Totally disgusting."

"Exam results were promised to be communicated in 8 weeks (why so long??). It has now been almost 12 weeks, no results, and I get unhelpful and uninformative responses through email. The website is slow and for many weeks shows a message about temporary issues. I know because I check every day for my results... Ample room for improvement"
