What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Walibi Holland is a hit with thrill-seekers for its intense roller coasters like Untamed and Lost Gravity, offering smooth and exciting rides. However, visitors often point out significant issues with park management, including poor signage, overselling tickets leading to extreme crowds, and limited food options. The parking situation and muddy conditions during certain times of the year are also common complaints.
"We came here for the Halloween stuff and for the rides. First negative we found was the parking situation. Literally the worst parking we have ever seen!! Making cars park 3 in a line so you have towns of three cars which means if the person behind you hasn’t gone you’re stuck!! It was muddy and horrible. The bridge across the road is a dumb idea. Fairly easy to get in. The place was quiet at the beginning of the day. I did buy fast lanes so that we didn’t have to queue so long. I did buy fast recommend that. The place gets packed later and it’s awful. They oversell tickets and you cannot move. I bought RIP passes for the fright night experiences and I recommend you do the same if you want to see them all. The walkthroughs and haunted houses are ruined by security guards everywhere. The place is poorly signposted, the maps are all but useless. It’s dirty. The foods expensive but we expect that at these places. The rides are really good though, cannot fault them. Staff were friendly. Would I come back…yes but not at Halloween. Wear old shoes because the place is caked in mud this time of year."

"Walibi Holland is a great park for thrill seekers; it has some seriously strong roller coasters that deliver real intensity and smooth rides. The park is clean and well run, though wait times can be long and food is pricey. Still, it’s definitely worth a visit."

"I'm only giving this many stars because my family had fun on the rides. I've developed some phobias in my middle age years and I just go for the vibes, the slushies, etc. But let me paint a picture. Thursday was the only day we could go this vacation. I had to work late and only got 3 hrs sleep. I rolled from my bed with some string cheese and a croissant to start my long day knowing I'd get lunch at the park. So many food options it seemed, pasta.. How nice! Yet... Everything was closed except for donuts, toasties, fries, fried snacks... Even the slushy machines were off most places and when I finally found a place with slushy, the cup with lid and plastic straw were sold out. False advertising, no? Honestly, I'd like a refund for just my ticket.. Ridiculous to not have more open especially during a school holiday. We left early because we were hungry."

Navigating Walibi Holland: Tips from the Trenches
When it comes to queues, wait times can become 'awful' as the day progresses, with reports of the park being oversold and extremely crowded. To combat this, purchasing a Fast Lane pass is highly recommended by many visitors. This allows you to book ride slots and wait outside the queue until your designated time, significantly reducing your overall waiting time. The Fast Lane app makes this process easy, allowing you to manage your bookings efficiently.
For those visiting during special events like Fright Nights, it's also suggested to consider RIP passes. These passes are designed to help you experience all the haunted houses and scare zones without excessive waiting. However, some visitors note that the haunted house experiences can be somewhat diminished by the presence of security guards.

While the park is renowned for its white-knuckle rides, there are also options for families, though the emphasis is clearly on high-thrill experiences. Visitors often praise the quality and smoothness of the rides, noting that they deliver real intensity. However, it's important to be prepared for the possibility of some rides being closed unexpectedly, which can be a point of frustration for guests.
During Fright Nights, the park transforms with a spooky atmosphere. The haunted houses and scare zones are a major attraction, but some guests feel the experience is impacted by the visible presence of security guards. Despite this, the overall consensus is that the rides themselves are the park's strongest asset, providing memorable and exciting experiences for those who dare to ride them.
