"I came across this museum months before visiting Amsterdam and had it on my list for a while. This was the highlight of my trip. I felt like I was transported back in time. Seeing & re-learning the rich history of piano players and hearing the music was a very unique experience. Kasper & Hank were lovely and extremely knowledgeable. This is a hidden gem in the city. "Got a very detailed and interesting tour and demos on the self playing piano, a good jump out of time, a very enriching experience all in all, visited with my kid."
Efrat Bigger
"Self playing pianos using paper rolls went out of fashion 100 years ago, but they were built using the very best instruments and parts. This small museum has several excellent examples, including reproducing models that play the music exactly as the original pianist did when the master roll was first created. It is quite an experience to watch a concert Steinway grand piano playing the keys just as though the composer/pianist was still sat at the keyboard. Very easy to visit when in Amsterdam."
