"Our stay was lovely, the surrounding area was quiet and seemed safe, with the tram just a short "

"We had a beautiful “staycation” at the Lloyd Hox and the experience was truly so lovely. The decor is gorgeous, bed is extremely comfortable and I love that despite being such a grand and historic building it is so warm and cosy.
The dinner was also spot on and the staff, especially Lieke and Marina, were so kind! I like an extremely rare steak which often doesn’t come out how I like it but this was perfect and delicious. Spot on martini as well!
Would really recommend this Hox for the cosy vibe and of course location which is in a really cool part of Amsterdam."

"Absolutely loved this hotel! Stayed here with my boyfriend for our 5 year anniversary, we booked a cosy room but was so kindly upgraded by the hotel to a much bigger room! The hotel is so clean, trendy and the staff are really friendly. The location is perfect, nice and quiet but only a couple tram stops away from the centre. Would 100% stay again and recommend!"

The Lloyd Hotel's Unique Design Philosophy
Many rooms are designed by different artists and designers, resulting in a truly unique stay. You might find yourself in a room with a two-story layout, a quirky theme, or a stunning waterfront view. The MVROV design is particularly notable for its innovative approach to the building's structure and aesthetic.
This design philosophy extends to the hotel's function as a cultural embassy, aiming to be a hub for creativity and exchange. It’s not just a place to sleep; it’s an experience in itself, encouraging guests to explore and appreciate the art and design surrounding them.
Exploring the Eastern Docklands
While it might not have the iconic canals of the city center, the Eastern Docklands has its own charm. You'll find a mix of residential areas, offices, and unique cultural spots. It’s a great place to experience a different facet of Amsterdam life, away from the usual tourist trails.
Getting to the main attractions from here is easy thanks to the efficient tram system. Tram 26 connects you directly to Amsterdam Centraal station, making it convenient to hop between the historic center and the contemporary vibe of your hotel's neighborhood.
Navigating Noise and Events
It's important to note that the Lloyd Hotel is a Cultural Embassy, and hosting events is part of its identity. If you are sensitive to noise or planning a trip where uninterrupted sleep is paramount, it's highly recommended to inquire about any scheduled events during your stay.
While some guests were disappointed by the lack of prior notification about events, others appreciated the vibrant atmosphere. If you're looking for a lively experience and don't mind a bit of buzz, this might not be an issue. However, for a truly tranquil stay, proactive communication with the hotel is key.
