"Walking between native flowers shrubs and trees, this city park is like a small oasis situated between the old part of Amstelveen and the "Amsterdamse bos". The Thijssepark is not large but large enough for a lunchbreak walk. At the moment, the place is filled with flowers and getting greener everyday.
Please remember that dogs and bicycles are not allowed to enter the park. Both are more than welcome in the adjacent "Amsterdamse bos" where you can find many bicycle paths and large grassy fields where dogs can roam freely."
