"Lumbini, the birth place of Lord Gautam Buddha, lies in Rupandehi district, Nepal. It is situated in the Western part of Nepal. It is a world heritage site. One need to buy ticket to visit the main birthplace site.
It is spread in a very large area. Different countries had build their cultural Buddha Monastery in collation with Nepal Government. Facility of cabs, autos etc are available for visiting the different Monastery. But to visit the birthplace, one has to take a few minutes walk. The birthplace is preserved and taken care by Nepal Government.
Kindly note photography is allowed everywhere but strictly prohibited inside the core building(birth place)
