"It's a dune. Clean and you have to pay entry but be ready for some cardio it you are going up. Record time up is +-3minutes but its took me +-14minutes with multiple stops along the way. I moaned alot as well and my calves and quads were on fire. Coming down is way easier, less then 2 minutes.
Dune 7 in Namibia is one of Africa's tallest dune, with a height of approximately 383 to 388 meters (1,256 to 1,273 feet). It is located in the Namib Desert, near the coastal town of Walvis Bay. "If you like sand and dunes and trekking to the top of challenging dunes then go for it! Windy day and not too hot so per the person at the gate I climbed barefoot! Any shoes would fill quickly with very fine sand. Getting to the top was somewhat challenging and required several rest breaks as soft sand is not so easy to climb on. Best part was walking / sliding off the side! Took about two minutes to descend! The ascent a lot longer! Enjoy!"
