"This site is featured in many Crimean guidebooks and travel agencies. Everything about it is beautifully described and described, with photographs included. However, a little history: the Lake Moinaki mud baths were built during the Russian Empire, and during the war, the Nazis removed tons of healing mud from there. During the Soviet era, everything was restored, and the mud baths became one of the best balneological resorts. It has been highly valued throughout the ages. But in 2011, while still under Ukrainian rule, the mud baths were destroyed, practically looted, and now it's just a bombed-out mess. This vast area looks like a post-nuclear war desert—remnants of buildings, piles of rubble, dried-out salts, dogs running around... It's a nightmare. Why can't the Crimean authorities restore such a natural site to preserve its value, to provide benefits to people, and to provide recuperation opportunities for the elderly and children? I understand that this destruction occurred under Ukrainian rule. But since 2014, Crimea is OURS! And the authorities are doing nothing. Resorts like this abroad earn millions, bringing in taxes and improving people's health. But here—nothing! Emptiness and abandonment. Lone tourists wander the lake, the occasional visitor scooping up mud and trying to heal themselves... Oh, my!"
