Reviews Summary

The Kotor Clock Tower is a charming, historic landmark in the heart of the Old Town, appreciated for its unique tilted appearance and role as a central meeting point. While it's a key visual element, some visitors find it underwhelming as there's no access inside and it's surrounded by tourist-focused establishments.

"The Kotor City Clock Tower is one of several landmarks in the town of Kotor. Construction of the Baroque and Gothic styled clock originally began in 1602. It was subsequently rebuilt in 1979 following an earthquake.

The Clock Tower serves as a good meeting point for tourist group, friends and families who came to visit the city and decided to break up to wander on their own and then to meet again later.

Grateful for the opportunity to be here."

"We visited Kotor for the first time on a cruise in the Mediterranean. Had to take the tender from the ship to the dock. We then self guided our tour using Google maps and my research.
The Clock Tower in the Armory Square is beautiful and well restored. Lots of activity in the Square with many choices for coffee and food.
We did not have time to go inside the tower but did enjoy looking at the outside."

THE EXPLORER

"The Kotor Clock Tower is... fine, but nothing special. It’s one of the main landmarks in the old town, but honestly, it’s just a basic clock on a worn-out stone tower. No access inside, no real information around it, and not much to engage with besides snapping a quick photo.

It sits in the main square surrounded by touristy restaurants, so you'll probably pass by it anyway—but it's hardly worth going out of your way for. For something that’s supposed to be a highlight, it felt pretty underwhelming.

Just another old structure in a town that doesn’t offer much beyond surface-level charm."
