What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Drobni Pijesak is lauded for its stunningly clear turquoise waters and scenic beauty, often called one of Montenegro's most aesthetic beaches. Visitors appreciate the unique sun loungers and the Pura Vida beach bar. However, some reviews point out issues with litter and old foam near seating areas, and drinks at the bar can be expensive. The steep access road and parking costs are also common considerations.
"The water is crystal clear and really enjoyable. The beach offers a variant of sun beds and the parking was quite cheap.
Today was a bit cloudy but still it was pleasant to be here."

"One of the best beaches in Montenegro. Kristal clear water, but no sand. Showers and changing rooms available. Park at the all day parking for 3€/day. Beware there is also a 3€/hour parking at only 100m distance."
Bogdan Bhall
"The beach is nice , clean water and moderate depth firs few meters then it get deeper which is nice. Variety of lounges and couches, even 2 floor ones. Good food, however drinks are quite expensive, like 5eur for 0.33 beer. However there is one thing that really spoils the whole experience, there’s lot of junk and old foam from the couches. The owners really need to think about cleaning this mess. It’s literally next to someone’s sun bed. Really looks terrible, you pay money and you sit next to this ? Disgusting. Also lot of trash and plastics behind the showers.
Please clean the area !! It’s not that hard! And ask visitors not to litter the beach.
Also one thing to keep in mind that if you arrive by car the parking is paid 1.5 eur for cars in the upper area and 3eur on low parking closer to the beach. If you are at the upper parking the road is very steep."

The Allure of Drobni Pijesak's Waters
Many visitors are drawn to the beach specifically for its pristine water quality. The lack of sand means the water remains exceptionally clear, free from the usual sediment that can cloud visibility. This natural purity enhances the overall aesthetic appeal and the enjoyment of water-based activities. The visual impact of the turquoise sea against the pebbly shore and surrounding cliffs is a key element of its charm.
Navigating Parking and Access
Savvy travelers suggest looking beyond the immediate parking lots. One tip involves driving to the very last parking area and then proceeding up a narrow, unpaved road to find more affordable day parking, often shaded by trees, for around 4 euros. This strategy can significantly reduce costs and offer a more relaxed experience compared to the steep initial descent. Understanding these parking nuances can greatly improve the overall visit.
The Pura Vida Beach Bar Experience
While the ambiance and offerings are generally well-received, some reviews mention that the drinks can be on the expensive side. Despite this, the Pura Vida bar remains a popular hub on the beach, offering a comfortable setting with unique seating options, including two-story loungers. It's a key part of the Drobni Pijesak experience, blending relaxation with the natural beauty of the cove.
