Another quick 30 km on the way to Casjeriz. Loved checking out the old ruins on the way. Nearly 1,000 years old. You could feel the history the walls told. And I was able to buy an Aquarius there, which is pretty much canned Powerade. Hung out with friends in town, got some pizza, and checked out the house of silence with a priest from Denmark. An eventful day to say the least #caminodesantiago

The on-site museum and local handicraft shops are appreciated additions, though the museum's strict closing time requires careful planning. Some visitors note the distance from Ulaanbaatar and the potential for cold weather outside of summer.

"The Manzushir Monastery, built in 1733, is a Buddhist-style temple ruin located about 8 km north of Zuunmod town in Töv Province along a paved road. Unfortunately, the monastery was destroyed in 1937, and now only the ruins remain. In front of the site, there is a natural history museum. At the entrance, there are local handicraft shops where you can purchase handmade stirrups, Buddha statues, pendants, and other decorative items."
