What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Hacienda Uayamon offers a visually stunning and historically rich experience, particularly for fans of the telenovela 'Lo Que La Vida Me Robó'. While its jungle setting and preserved architecture are captivating, some guests find the luxury experience lacking due to maintenance issues, slow service, and higher-than-expected prices for the amenities provided.
"I do NOT recommend staying in this hotel,
The price is insane for the acomodations and service that you get.
Everything is very poorly maintained and very dirty, a lot of riped furniture, the buildings are in decay, the placemats were disgusting with old food stuck to them.
the service is very very slow, and the food not great with very limited options. We stay before at puerta campeche with is the same group and they have the exact same menu, so after 5-6 days the menu was really boring
The rooms door didnt close properly, we are a big family and were staying in 5 rooms and not even in one the doors work. Also you dont get enough hot water. You can only fill about 1/8 of the jacuzzi and you have to wait an hour and a half to have hot water again. In the soap the made i used the last of it and the bottom part was filled with bugs.
The worst part is there is absolutely nothing to do. The pool was freezing and we were told they dont have a heater. They have around 4 very old bycicles and thats all.
It’s absolutely not acceptable that they do tours and let people who is not staying in the hotel to use the pool. I was trying to get into my room and i had to wait for people who was taking pictures outside to finish.
Its such a same that such a beautiful place is in this decay. Over all we have a very bad experience and i didnt even listed everything."

"Well this place left me with mixed feelings. The place itself is absolutely amazing, lost in the jungle, in historic buildings, I loved the experience. However I believe that for the price you pay you lack many things. The rooms are nice but not very furnished with 5* equipment. They are not clean and full of enormous spiders (inside the bed as well). The doors do not close properly, the bathtub outside seems very pleasant but doesn’t have enough hot water to be filled, the swimming pool is amazing but not clean, the service is nice but very very slow. So mixed feeling because for the price you pay you expect things to be perfect and they are really not. But the location is stunning."
