Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the vibrant atmosphere of Parque de la Marimba, especially the nightly live marimba music and community dancing, calling it a must-visit for its lively energy and romantic ambiance. While some note performances can end earlier than expected, the overall experience is highly recommended for its cultural immersion and delicious local food options.
"Cool place worth a visit when there's live music which is supposedly daily from about 6-9pm. But the Thursday night we went it ended at 8pm. Even on a Thursday evening it was pretty packed with many people dancing and walking around the plaza. It was a lively atmosphere with music filling the plaza. Plaza is surrounded by restaurants and food stands, a couple of places serving delicious tamales. You can also find vendors offering tours to the main Chiapas tourist attractions.
If in Tuxtla, I would definitely recommend spending an evening there."
