Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about Cenote Xcanahaltun, calling it a truly magical and beautiful experience, often preferring it over more famous cenotes due to its tranquility and lack of crowds. The crystal-clear water and stunning stalactite formations are consistently highlighted as major draws. Some mention the entrance fee has increased over time, and while generally easy to find, it's a bit remote.

"Absolutely beautiful Cenote and no crowds. Was easy to drive to with Google maps after visiting Ek Balam. Lots of parking and only one other group of people there when we went on a weekday around 11am. Price is reasonable, I think it changes often (increases) because it was higher than what I saw on some recent reviews when we arrived. Life vests not mandatory. Remote location but worth the drive to get a Cenote to yourself. I saw photos of someone standing at the center waist deep beneath the opening in the ceiling but I couldn't reach the rocks beneath when I went in February it was too deep. Staff there were so nice and gave us directions so another unique cenote"

Angela T

"Loved this cenote. Water very cool and refreshing. Absolutely stunning. With a platform to jump in. Lovely afternoon and 200 pesos pp."

Nancy

"This is the best cenote - a truly magical experience. Much more impressive than the more famous tourist cenotes with tour buses. The name means “waterfall of stone” in Mayan because of all the stalactites descending down. The water is perfectly clear. Because it is slightly out of the way, it gets few visitors. Owned by a family, who cook great food in the cafe."
