What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Puerto Mágico Cruise Terminal serves as a functional gateway to Puerto Vallarta, offering a pleasant first impression with its amenities and proximity to shopping. While not a destination in itself, it provides easy access to excursions and local attractions, with many visitors praising the vibrant atmosphere of the Malecon and the beauty of the coastline. However, some find the prices for extras on excursions to be high, and the pebble beaches can be a drawback.
"This was an all-day event. 1p to 12p Checked in at 1 PM and arrived by boat at the beach by 3ish. It was a very upbeat experience with music paying the moment we got on the boat to the moment we got back to the port. Alcohol was flowing like water, but be careful because it can get pricy. I recommend getting the lunch buffet because the dinner service doesn't start until after 6. Do yourself a favor and bring water shoes if you plan on walking the beach or getting into the water, as the beach consists of fine pebble, not sand. This made walking barefoot unbearable. Four stars due to the length of time and prices of the extras. For the high fare, this should be an all-inclusive excursion."

"Look for a cruise timetable to know what cruiseships come in on what days.
There are much fewer ships over the summer months.
You can have a good view odlf ships from the food court in the mall across the street from the port."

"This is just the marina to get on many ships, so there was nothing special about this location for me. However, I boarded a catamaran provided by Vallarta Adventures. The excursion was spectacular. I recommend trying them while you are in the area. I took the Islas Marietas and BBQ beach tour with MC host Louis. Do this if you really want a great experience..."
