Reviews Summary
El Dorado Maroma is celebrated for its stunning beach, exceptional gourmet dining, and the unique luxury of its Palafitos Overwater Bungalows. Guests consistently praise the friendly staff and included water activities. However, some visitors note that evening entertainment could be more vibrant and that certain premium services may incur extra costs.
"We visited El Dorado Maroma on our honeymoon in November and, truly, we could not have enjoyed our stay more.
Our room, a lovely swim-up suite, was comfortable and extremely clean. The outdoor shower? A+++++
The beach was beautiful and we could snorkel (we brought our own masks) right from the resort.
The Bali beds and the loungers on the beach were comfortable and the beach butcher, Marco, was always on top of everything making sure you never wanted for anything.
The food... my goodness the food... I still dream about it to this day.
The resort was almost full when we went but nothing felt overcrowded.
The staff, every single one of them, is welcoming and friendly.
The Mexican Fiesta was a highlight! So much fun!!
The only "downside" was that the entertainment was lacking - Rick's bar has so much potential but it's a dead spot where nothing happens. We didnt mind though; we went to bed earlier and were able to catch the sunset.
Could not recommend this place more. Well definitely be back!"

"This was our first time staying at El Dorado Maroma Beach, and it absolutely exceeded our expectations. The food was excellent—every meal was fresh, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor. We were genuinely impressed with the variety and quality at every restaurant.
The entertainment staff was also awesome. They were energetic, friendly, and made every activity fun without ever being pushy. Their enthusiasm really added to the experience and made our stay even more enjoyable.
Beautiful resort, great service, and an unforgettable first visit. We’ll definitely be coming back!
Special thanks to Jerik, Mauricio, mosquito osvaldo, alex,"

"This is going to be a quick review. Was there last week. All of the cleaning staff, the wait staff, were exceptional. The check-in was less than desirable. When we arrived, we were told that the person to check us in wouldn’t be available for 30 to 45 minutes. Probably the worst way to start a vacation. Finally that person arrived, and things went fine. Something else to be aware of is that the company on site is called, LOMAS travel. I’d give them about a 5 out of 10 as far as service and hospitality. In fact, I would say that the main thing that was missing from this experience was the hospitality from the first impressions. I’m not going to come back to this place. It’s an adult’s only resort, very quiet. You definitely get the sense that more than half of the guests are members. And by members, I mean, people who have signed up for the timeshare program. That’s fine. However, if you’re looking for something that has a little bit more going on along with people who are there to just enjoy vacation rather than to try and recruit you to become a member, it’s probably best to look elsewhere for a hotel. There’s nothing wrong with hotel, the service and food was fine. Best to avoid the sushi restaurant in the evening. Not the best. Most of the others were OK. Keep in mind that if you want anything extra, like a bottle of wine at the Mexican fiesta night on the beach, that’s going to cost extra. If you want to get more premium food at restaurants, like the Caribbean grill, that’s going to cost you extra. Just keep all of this in mind when you go. You’ll still have a great time if you want a very relaxing and quiet holiday, but I am positive there are better places around."
