What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors generally find the Orizaba Planetarium to be an interesting and educational experience, particularly for families with children, thanks to its interactive exhibits and dedicated shows. However, some guests feel the ticket price is high for the duration and content, with mixed opinions on the VR experience and staff helpfulness. Strict showtimes and potential cancellations are also points to consider.
"Good experience. Quality of screen is not as HD as expected but good overall. The show was more of a documentary which was not exciting for our little ones, I would expect more of a universe/star show instead of technical and documentary film.
VR experience not that exciting, also here would have expected something deeper. Has a nice solar and stellar telescope"

"I was in orizaba and took my friends daughter to the planetarium. We had a nice time but left her cell phone behind. We came and asked for it in case it had been turned in and were told no. We went to admin they accompanied us back to the planetarium, and then search the cameras and found an employee had actually picked up the cell phone as they could see it on the camera, they checked her bag. They asked her where it was. They let her go home without calling the police to further investigate, even though on the camera, they could clearly see that she had stolen it.No cell phone turned in to us…. The planetarium acknowledges she stole it … why did they not call authorities??
Such a terrible experience to what should have been a nice evening. When asked if she is coming back tomorrow they don’t know. How can that be when you have her on camera taking the cell phone. Why would that be an option?"

"We enjoyed our time at the Planetarium. Not very big but it was interesting to spend about 45 min. there. Make sure you check the scheduled show times. There are 2 different shows. One of them caters more for children. You aren't allowed to enter the Planetarium until your tickets scheduled time."

Beyond the main show, the planetarium features interactive exhibits designed to make learning about science and space more hands-on and engaging. These are particularly noted as being good for children. However, the VR experience has received mixed reviews, with some finding it less impactful than expected. The presence of a solar and stellar telescope adds another layer to the astronomical exploration available on-site.

Navigating Your Visit: Tips from Visitors
When it comes to the content, while the planetarium is often recommended for families, it's worth noting that the shows are primarily documentary-style. This means they might be more educational than overtly exciting for very young children. Visitors suggest inquiring about which show is more child-oriented to ensure a better experience for the little ones.
Practical advice also includes being mindful of personal belongings, as one visitor reported a negative experience with a lost item. While the staff did investigate, the resolution was not satisfactory for the reviewer. Finally, some guests have expressed that the entrance fee might feel a bit high for the duration and nature of the experience, so setting realistic expectations can enhance the overall visit.
