"Not the traditional botanical garden experience - few labeled plants, wasn’t able to access most of the garden. Tours leave every 30 minutes, but mainly go to the Mexican fence post cactus area with Opuntia, give no interpretation and then run you out.
Maybe it was an off day/season, but I definitely wouldn’t come here if your desire is to learn the plants of Oaxaca unless you set up a more formal botanical tour some how. Seems little active research going on as well"

We spent about 30 minutes exploring the gardens, and it was a very enjoyable experience. The scenery is stunning, and considering it’s free, it’s definitely worth the time. Parking nearby was convenient as well. Overall, a lovely spot to relax, learn about Oaxaca’s indigenous flora, and appreciate nature."

"Must show up at least 30-45 minutes early to line up. We were turned away. The space is limited and fills up fast. Very beautiful. But, when we went, the group was only allowed to see certain parts of this large enclosure. Not sure it it was do to a limited staff at this time."
