"Fun course. It was steamy and the course had aerated about a month ago so greens are still coming back. But they rolled really well. Had a blast! And there is a decent amount of water on the course so be ready and aware of distances!!"

"Awesome golf course. Friendly staff, a nice driving range to warm up on, a variety of challenging holes lined with palm trees including an island green, lots of intimidating water features around the course, updated golf carts with GPS with ice waters at the ready. I played by myself in the morning and was able to play in under 3.5 hours which was great. The rental clubs I got were really nice Titleist T200 with a Scotty Cameron putter. It was $250 US and $60 for the rentals. I would play it again for sure and glad I came here."

"It's just beautiful there. Everything is green and lush and maintained. It's beautiful"

Tailored advice for your travel style
👨👩👧 Families with Kids
If bringing children, consider booking a late afternoon tee time during the off-season when the course is less crowded and the pace of play might be more relaxed. Ensure children are supervised at all times and understand golf etiquette. Alternatively, the surrounding Riviera Nayarit area offers many family-friendly beaches and activities that might be more suitable for a broader range of ages.
💰 Budget Travelers
For budget-conscious golfers, visiting during the off-season (typically May to October) can offer significantly lower green fees. Additionally, looking for package deals that might bundle green fees with rentals or exploring nearby, less exclusive courses could be more economical. While Litibú offers a luxury experience, it may not align with a strict budget.
💍 Couples & Luxury Seekers
The availability of updated golf carts with GPS and ice water adds to the comfort and convenience. Consider booking a twilight tee time for a more intimate experience as the crowds thin out. The overall ambiance of the Riviera Nayarit, with its upscale resorts and beautiful beaches, complements the luxury golf experience.

The Greg Norman Design Philosophy
Expect a layout that tests every aspect of your game. Norman's designs often feature risk-reward opportunities, encouraging players to make strategic decisions on each shot. The lush fairways are lined with palm trees and tropical flora, providing a vibrant backdrop. The greens are known for their speed and undulation, demanding precision on approach shots and careful reading of putts.
Players often highlight the variety of holes as a key feature. From challenging par-3s to demanding par-5s, each hole presents a distinct puzzle. The presence of numerous water hazards adds an element of intimidation and requires careful course management. This design ensures that golfers of all skill levels will find something to challenge and enjoy, making it a memorable round.
Navigating the Course: Carts, GPS, and Pace of Play
Pace of play can be a significant factor, especially during peak season. While solo morning rounds can be completed in under 3.5 hours, busier periods might see longer durations. The course's design, with its challenging holes and water features, can sometimes lead to slower play if groups are not mindful of keeping pace. Arriving early for your tee time and being prepared can help ensure a smoother flow.
Hydration is paramount. The Riviera Nayarit climate can be hot and humid, and staying hydrated is crucial for both performance and comfort. The golf carts usually come stocked with ice water, and players are encouraged to take advantage of this service. Being prepared with extra water or sports drinks is always a good idea.
