It’s a trick mostly used by store owners to attend clients. They will tell you lines along the lines of ‘everything else is from China, this is the only real Mayan store’ etc. this happened to us on our first day and we fell for it. The person in question was friendly, spoke English and German and was very smooth in luring us."
